Colee Hammock Park
Colee Hammock Park is a superb spot to picnic in Fort Lauderdale on a hot South Florida day. After grabbing a bite to eat from a local Las Olas restaurant, you may stroll to this park to sit under the palms and watch the boats go by. You will see stunning, romantic views of the river and an alluring peace. Sink into a deeper state of relaxation by bringing your hammock!
Hugh Taylor Birch State Park
Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, known as Fort Lauderdale’s Central Park, offers visitors a slice of wilderness within the urban city. This park is a local favorite where you’ll frequently find people rollerblading on the boardwalk or reading under the shade of palm trees. Those looking to hang out and appreciate the sun and outdoors that Florida offers will love Hugh Taylor Birch Park, which offers a variety of activities such as paddleboarding, wildlife viewing, and bicycling.
Esplanade Park
There are two main attractions on the Esplanade Park riverwalk in Fort Lauderdale: beautiful waterfront gardens and a glass pavilion. Esplanade Park provides excellent views of various events, including Winterfest boat parades, Stone Crab & Seafood Festivals, and Smoke on the Water BBQ Festivals. While visiting Esplanade Park, you will frequently find live music, food trucks, and vendors. It is also very close to the Las Olas bars and restaurants for lunch or a late afternoon drink!
John Lloyd Beach State Park
John U. Lloyd Beach State Park is a local favorite when we want a secluded beach off the beaten track. This South Florida state park is a beautiful spot for a laid-back beach day and is beloved by locals and visitors! Fishing, canoeing, diving, and other activities are among the many things you can do here.
